Cultural things and recommendations

Nevado del Ruiz is very close to Manizales, which is part of "paisa" culture. It is very usual to listen expressions like "¡pues!" or "Eh ave María", but it is fine, they does not mean something bad, they are just cultural expressions.

like "asorrete" (Cake of meat), "lengua de res", "arepa" (cake of corn) and fish, people can fish trout in Nevado del Ruiz. 
In Manizales people can find a great infrastructure and polite people and when a person wants to go to Nevado del Ruiz, they usually visit  Manizales first.

For visiting Nevado del Ruiz people must rest very well,  take water and a fruit or chocolate, during the tour people must wrap up because temperature descends when they are ascending; Children under six years and people above 65 should not go there because it could be a little exhaustive; nevertheless,all people that go there say that it is worthy.

The last and most important recommendation is to invite a friend to live through this unforgettable experience.
